2. Correction for Technical Requirements: Retrofit Kits Table
The V3.0 proposed requirements distributed on Friday, July 18th, 2014 incorrectly listed the CRI requirement as 80 for High-Bay Retrofit Kits. The proposed V3.0 CRI requirement for this category is 70, which is the same as the current V2.1 requirement.
3. Will qualified products have to be re-tested?
No. Under this proposal, qualified products that meet the Tier 1 requirements will not need to be retested. Products that fail to meet the Tier 1 requirements or that wish to qualify for Tier 2 may need to provide additional testing. These requirements will be outlined before the TRT Restructuring becomes effective.
4. Will Tier 1 and Tier 2 products be denoted on the Qualified Products List?
Yes. The QPL will be updated so that Tier 1 and Tier 2 products can be identified.
5. Are manufacturers required to report a zonal lumen density for the “Other” Primary Use category?
No. There is no zonal lumen density requirement proposed for products which are designated as “Other”. However, the DLC reserves the right to reject any product it determines does not meet the intended definition for outdoor and indoor products.
6. Will there be transition time between V2.1 and V3.0?
Yes. Similar to the transition between V2.0 and V2.1, stakeholders will be notified well in advance of V3.0 becoming effective, so that they can prepare for the changes to the program.
